Samba Reggae
This cadence is based on a brazilian musical style called Samba Reggae (pronounced "Samba-Hegay") which originated in Bahia, Brazil, and is a mixture of Brazilian Samba and Jamaican Reggae. This has quite a different feel that most "traditional cadences" and will definitely get the crowd going!

Gilligan
Since I couldn't write a bass drum cadence to the opening theme of "Lost", (could anyone?) I used the theme from the other show about a group of people stranded on a tropical island.

Santa Barbara
Level - Beginning/Intermediate
This was originally written as a "mass drumline" cadence, so it works with as many as 14 bass drums, 20 snares and 12 tenors, but it works just as well with a "normal" size line. I have used it both ways and it works just fine.

1608
Level - Beginning/Intermediate
I could say that this cadence was dedicated to the "Jamestown Fire", or Captain John Smith's release by Powhatan, but it is actually a 16th note groove cadence that was last revised in 2008.

This is an advanced cadence that was inspired by the internet sensation and by my son's pet guinea pigs. (He hates it when I call them "hamsters.")
