This 3 movement show explores many different forms of communication, including verbal, non-verbal, and even electronic. The 1st movement explores "drum speak,"as the battery sections get to "sing" their features before they play them. The 2nd movement is a ballad pit feature that uses non-verbal audience communication and involvement, as the battery members and the audience together use "finger snaps," "lap drumming" and "foot stomping" to create a virtual "thunderstorm." The 3rd movement explores different forms of "electronic" communication, such as cell phones and "texting," and even gives a taste of what a drumline show would sound like to someone who was hard of hearing. Definitely a crowd favorite!
